Itinerary


Day 1 - Arrival to Delhi, sightseeing.

A visit to historic Delhi is a journey through waves of conquest.  Delhi is home to an amazing array of sights, events and activities. New Delhi is the capital of India and combines old world charm and modern life.

A Neeliyam representative will receive you on arrival at the International Airport in Delhi and transfers you to your hotel. After freshening up in your hotel, visit Qutab Minar, Humayun’s Tomb and Lotus Temple.

Day 2 - Delhi sightseeing.

Explore New and Old Delhi, visit famous places like Red Fort, India Gate, Raj Ghat, Gurdwara Bangla Sahib temple, Jama Masjid, witness a darshan at Akshardham temple, and watch the musical Water Show. Get opportunity for shopping at the famous markets like Dilli Haat and Chandni Chowk, and buy authentic Indian crafts sold by craftsmen from all around India. Enjoy a private food walk tour and taste the different flavours of the Mughalai cuisine.

Day 3 - Travel to Agra, sightseeing.
The Taj Mahal in Agra, known as the "Symbol of Love" and one of the seven wonders of the world, is the epitome of Moghul art. Other vestiges of the Moghul empire include tombs, mosques, and relics.

After breakfast we travel to Agra. After hotel check-in and freshening up in your room, visit UNESCO Heritage site: the Agra Fort, known as the “Symbol of Power, Strength and Resilience”. Get a short demonstration about marble in-lay work and try your hands in gems polishing.

Day 4 - Visit Taj Mahal; Travel to Jaipur, en route visit Chand Baori stepwell.
Jaipur, a city in the state of Rajasthan, known as the Pink City. Offers majestic forts, temples, palaces, monuments, and gardens for the tourist to explore. Jaipur is also known as the gem- and jewellery capital of the world.

Visit the famous Taj Mahal at morning sunrise for a dramatic sightseeing experience.

After breakfast proceed to Jaipur, en route visit Chand Baori, one of the oldest, largest and most attractive step-wells in the world. Check in your hotel in Jaipur and freshen up. Evening participate in cooking class led by qualified chef who will teach you how to use ingredients and spices in Indian cooking, so you can prepare authentic Indian food.

Day 5 - Jaipur sightseeing and dinner at Haveli.
Take a tour of the Pink City attractions: City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar (observatory), visit Amber Fort and the Jaipur bazaars, watch how gemstones are made into jewellery. During the evening visit a Haveli (traditional mansion) and enjoy a Rajasthani dinner with local family.

Day 6 - Day tour to Pushkar.
Pushkar is a holy town in Rajasthan which is known for its picturesque valleys, scenic locations and pilgrim sites. Pushkar occupies a bright spot in Rajasthan as an important pilgrimage spot.

Morning go for a camel ride to isolated sand dunes, visiting small villages and Rose Garden on the way. After lunch visit Brahma Temple, Pushkar Lake and Vaidhnath Temple.

Day 7 - Travel by flight to Amritsar, village tour.
After breakfast travel to Delhi airport and fly to Amritsar. 

Amritsar is the cultural capital of India’s north-western state, Punjab. Located near the border of India and Pakistan, Amritsar is a city that played an extremely important role in Indian history. From food, music and art to history, religion and traditions, there is a lot to experience in Amritsar.
A Neeliyam representative will receive you on arrival at the Airport in Amritsar and transfers you to your hotel. After freshening up in your hotel room visit a nearby village where we see houses made out of mud and the life of a village and farms. We have dinner in the village with local family.

Day 8 - Golden Temple and Wagah border ceremony.
After breakfast we take a "Heritage walk", starts from Town Hall and covers 9 historical points. Then visit Jalliamwala Bagh and Sri Harmandir Sahib, known as the “Golden Temple”. Don’t miss the Guru Ka Langar, a free meal is served to all the visitors. Afternoon stroll at Bazaars, where you can purchase handwoven phulkari cloth, salwar-kameez, dupattas and chunnis. The Raunak Store at Pink Plaza is a world famous shoe store known to manufacture and sell traditional leather footwear known as jutti. Amritsar is home to variety of dishes and delicacies. Try Butter Chicken, Chicken Kadahi or Rogan Josh, and close your meal with Amritsari lassi, a thick sweet cream-shake.
Afternoon travel to the Wagah border and watch the ceremonial closing of gates and lowering of flags of India and Pakistan.

Day 9 - Travel by flight to Delhi, End of Tour
​After lunch we travel to Delhi airport for your flight home, or begin your post-tour extension.

Day 9 - Travel by flight to Mumbai from Delhi.
A Neeliyam representative will receive you on arrival at the Airport in Mumbai and transfers you to your hotel. After freshening up, visit Haji Ali Dargah Mosque and Mount Mary Church. Walk on Marine Drive – Queen’s Necklace, Chowpatty beach, and enjoy the making of chaats.

Day 10 - Mumbai sightseeing.
After breakfast visit Gateway of India, take a ferry to Elephanta Island and explore the 7th-century cave temples, Elephanta caves, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Post lunch, visit Babulnath Mandir, Crawford Market, Flower Market, Fish Market, Linking Road, take a train ride down to the city. Visit Mahalaxmi Dhobi Ghat, a well-known open air laundromat.

Day 11 - Travel by flight to Goa.
A Neeliyam representative will receive you on arrival at the Airport in Goa and transfers you to your hotel. Enjoy white sand beaches in Goa. Visit local markets.

II. Extension option: Relax in Kerala

Day 9 - Travel by flight to Cochin from Delhi.
A Neeliyam representative will receive you on arrival at the Airport in Cochin and transfers you to your hotel. Explore Fort Kochi: Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Spice market, Jewish Street, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets.

Day 10 - Travel by car to Munnar.
Practice morning yoga at the hotel. After breakfast travel to Munnar. Freshen up in your hotel and visit Tea gardens and Spice plantations.

Day 11 - Travel by car to Kumarakom.
Morning travel to Kumarakom. Enjoy a relaxing houseboat cruise on Kerala backwaters and a village cruise by country boat. See the village and paddy fields and the toddy tapping. Take a stroll through the village to see villagers engaged in traditional work.

Day 9 - Travel by flight to Varanasi from Delhi.
A Neeliyam representative will receive you on arrival at the Airport in Varanasi and transfers you to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10 - Varanasi sightseeing.
Early morning enjoy a boat cruise on the sacred river Ganges, visit the funeral Ghats and some of the old temples like Shri Kashi Vishwanth (Golden Temple), the Bharat Mata and Sankat Mochan.

Day 11 - Varanasi sightseeing, visit Sarnath.
Visit Sarnath, famous for Buddhist monuments. Afternoon visit Varanasi bazaars, silk waving factory, and evening watch Ganga aarti.
