Onam 2018

6 days tour

Onam, the most anticipated festival of Kerala, is its harvest festival. People make beautiful intricate designs using flowers at the entrance to their houses. Women adorned in their traditional saris known as veshti mundu perform Thiruvathirakali, a traditional dance.  A popular nine course feast known as a Sadya is eaten at lunch. The grand Aranmula snake boat race, or Vallamkali, is held on the river Pamba. (The snake boat is named for its shape. There are no live snakes on board!) :)  We invite you to join us for Onam celebrations including the Vallamkalli.
